Prized for its strength, durability, and variety of color and grain, granite has become of the top choices for countertops and more. It’s so strong it can handle hot pots and pans as well as abrasion from sharpened knives, and its beauty, elegance, and variety allows homeowners to express their personal style.
As a stone, granite is composed of large mineral grains that have grown and fit tightly together during a very slow cooling period, giving it its strength. It always contains the minerals quartz and feldspar, with or without a wide variety of other minerals (called accessory minerals). The quartz and feldspar generally give granite a light color, ranging from pinkish to white — but can also be darker in color due to the amount of darker accessory minerals present.
Our granite is quarried then tested for both strength and durability, ensuring its long-lasting quality.
